With THE PIRATE QUEEN now well and truly open, we figured it was about time to update the site. The show has been up on its feet for a month now, and has audiences up on theirs seemingly every night. You can see what people make of it, and how the cast is getting on, by watching CASTCOM, the daily video diaries that have accompanied and documented the show since the beginning of rehearsals. For tickets, information and much more, please visit the show's official website.
We'll be uploading some new photos of Hadley and the show very soon, so bookmark this page and check in with us over the next few weeks... |
The Original Cast Recording of THE PIRATE QUEEN is due out within a few weeks, so keep your eyes and ears peeled (or indeed pealed). The album is comprised of extended highlights of the show, and contains all of the significant vocal and some orchestral material. It sounds great, and for those of you who listened endlessly to the Les Miserables cast recording when it came out (or indeed more recently), get ready to do the same.
Look out also for Margaret Vermette's new book THE MUSICAL WORLD OF BOUBLIL AND SCHONBERG which is scheduled for an official release on May 15. Vermette explores in great depth the history and working process behind every one of Boublil and Schonberg's shows, including The Pirate Queen. Containing extensive interviews with the authors themselves, and their collaborators, it is a most comprehensive account of two of the most successful musical theatre practitioners.
